About thirteen years ago Pete Lykins bought a small mailbox business in hopes of making a little investment and to give his father, Charles Lykins Sr., something to do with his time, since he was retired from the United States Post Office.

The Story

In a short time his father knew his son had a successful company, if he worked it correctly. Charlie Lykins, Pete's brother came on as a partner and as the three of them worked collectively; they put together a family run business that at times made it necessary for the entire family to lend a hand.

Simultaneously, Steve and Peggy Stephenson, who had worked together successfully, as a husband and wife team in successful business ventures started a sign company, Signtek. This business was located right next door to the Lykins family business, Lykins Development Specialties, Inc.

Over a time these two businesses were working with each other every day. The natural flow of things seemed to destine them into a partnership. The working relationship was already established along with trust and respect, resulting in the merging of these two family businesses into Lykins-Signtek. This company is founded and strongly believes in family and the values of family.

Because this is a family business rooted in family values, this company is stronger than ever. Lykins-Signtek as a company believes in quality and service and so therefore they work hard to deliver that to their customers.
